A new month, or one month closer to D Day! I am very happy to see that these mint Gorman pants are going the distance, I was worried the stretchy waist band would not stretch over my belly much after 20 weeks but there is still plenty of room at 28weeks, my favorite pregnancy purchase for sure! I can't resist a bit of animal themed bling, picked up this awesome necklace at Topshop in New York. LIZ X
I was very excited to receive a PRIZE in the mail... a new outfit from Soon Maternity, as you can see I was so excited that I decided to play dress ups and style my new outfit in three ways, exercise, causal and going out! It was a nice little 28 week mark surprise! I think I am going to get a lot of wear out of these items.
These are some of my favorite pieces from the Spring Hatch Maternity collection, I could happily purchase every piece in the range! Although not entirely weather appropriate for folk in the Southern Hemisphere its nothing a bit of layering and grey marle opaques wouldn't fix. I love their range because I can totally see all the styles working into a post bump wardrobe.
Out for dinner to celebrate my friends birthday...her golden year no less, I didn't know about this but apparently when you turn the age of your birthday 26 on the 26th it's your golden year! Unfortunately when I was 7 I had never heard of this. I have had these awesome Sergio Rossi heels for a few years and I still love them as much as the day I bought them. (My new rules: dinner = heels. Events that require more than 30min standing = flats or wedges at a stretch)
I was very excited to see an email this morning announcing that J CREW is now shipping to Australia! Whats more its free till the end of April!! Here are my bump friendly fashion picks, so super cute baby picks and my big weakness ... jewellery:
This morning I had my glucose test to check for gestational diabetes, sound like fun? Your right it wasn't. Here is a list of tips for making it a little easier:
1. Arrive early! I rocked up 15min before the clinic opened expecting to be the first person there, apparently three other people were thinking the same thing and were more committed to the idea.
2. Drink water, as I understood the fasting deal was a no food or water from midnight type of thing, however after wiggling the needle around in my arm for way too long the nurse asked..."have you been drinking plenty of water" um no, no I haven't and I'm betting this process could only be quicker and less painful if i had?
3.Bring reading material separate to your iPhone, what if they don't have reception?? and you didn't bring a book? All of a sudden that two hours in the waiting room is going to feel like four.
4. I had been warned about this horrific dishwasher liquid tasting drink I would be forced to drink liters of, it didn't taste that bad at all and it was only a little bottle that you can take 5 mins to finish (thought i would finish on a positive note)
In other news......27 weeks today! My friend has a little girl and called her Lenny, possibly the cutest name EVER! LIZ X
Head over to one of my favorite blogs Honestly WTF today for an awesome DIY flower decoration idea, perfect for a wedding or a baby shower. I have seen a few pom pom style decorations floating around but these are the best I have seen, love the volume and colour combination! LIZ X
Taking one of my homemade tops for a spin, thanks spotlight for the super cute forest print fabric, think the bugs in my ears will feel right at home! LIZ X
A short trip but a good one, I don't think I could ever get sick of the ferry ride from circular quay to Manly, such a beautiful city even on an over cast day. LIZ X
